Rumours are rife that X Factor's Christopher Maloney is a 'diva' backstage and has even been slapped on the wrist for shouting at production staff.

However, omg! would like to present you with our own evidence, that these rumours are almost certainly rubbish.
Now, we're not particularly Team Maloney, but we don't like unfair rumours about anyone.
We have been invited to X Factor rehearsals for the past two weeks and every time we have seen Christopher he been friendly, warm and genuine.
Plus, every other contestant only has nice things to say about Chris, particularly his roommate Kye Sones… the only bad word we have heard about Christopher is that he snores.
And we reckon you could forgive him for that.

When we asked Christopher about the things that had been written in the press, he seemed keen to set the record straight.
Christopher told omg!: “Things have been written about me in the press, it’s just a bit negative and hurtful especially for my family.”
“I’ve still got feelings and it’s just I don’t feel like I can defend myself.”
A visibly nervous Chris added: “People say I am faking my nerves but they should try and sing in front of 12.5 million people.”
“It’s terrifying and all my nerves roll into one, I feel like my confidence has been knocked again.”
