Alesha Dixon has ditched hit BBC1 programme, Strictly Come Dancing in favour of Simon Cowell's Britain's Got Talent.
But it wasn't just the reported £350,000 pay packet (over double what she was paid on Strictly) that sealed the deal, omg! reveals the REAL reason the star switched shows.
After a pretty poor season of X Factor with dwindling viewing figures and a wobbly start to the US version of the show, Simon Cowell is reportedly treating this season's BGT as his last chance to rule weekend telly and he won't let anything stand in his way!

So much so, that the music mogul has put up half of the £500,000 prize money and enlisted the biggest stars of the small screen including himself and comedian David Walliams who is said to have set him back £800,000.
And all these just to secure inflated viewing figures for BGT. But even this wasn't enough to entice the former Mystique singer to change channels, it was all about the music!
BGT attracts a younger audience and is more on target with the star's core audience.
Alesha Dixon will start her new judging stint in early spring giving her time to win the public's hearts (Cheryl Cole style) and relaunch her singing career before the year is out.
The Strictly schedule never would have allowed this strategic PR plan and of course BGT also showcases singing acts — more akin to Alesha's skills.
She said: "Music is my great passion and the reason for the other incredible opportunities that have come my way and I am looking forward to getting back into the studio and focusing on making a new record in 2012."
It remains to be seen whether her (and Simon's) little plan will work…
