TOWIE'S Lucy Mecklenburgh is the latest celebrity to turn to the blonde side after she unveiled a total hair makeover on last night's show.

The Only Way Is Essex star revealed at the start of last night's ITV2 show that she wanted to shock everyone with her new look.
But her lighter locks didn't quite go down as planned with her fiance Mario Falcone - who pulled a serious shocked face when she unveiled her new look.

Although we love Lucy's new hair colour, Mario looked pretty gutted when his girlfriend showed him, saying only: "Oh. My God."
He then admitted he wasn't a fan. Asked whether he like it he said: "No [pause]. I'm joking. You look really nice. You look really different. I don't think it's that bad. It's just a shock. I still think you look beautiful."

The Essex hottie had previously asked Lucy if her surprise was a sexy one so we reckon he's pretty gutted that it was a hairstyle he ended up hating. Oops.
Lucy did say she wanted to surprise everyone, though, telling her hairdresser: "I wanna shock everyone. I want to walk in the room and everyone go oh my god. I wanna go extreme." She sure did that.

But by the sounds of things, Mario was alone in his feelings on her barnet - the girls at omg! LOVE her look and it seems like she got a nice response on Twitter.

The Essex lass is the latest star who's recently decided to ditch her brunette locks - following both Tulisa (who recently switched back), Miley Cyrus (who went peroxide) and Natalie Portman.
