However it seems that ex-wife Katy Perry has been left off the guest list.
That's a bit harsh isn't it?
According to The Daily Star, Russell has been arranging the party to be held at his L.A. home where he has invited a list of people who have helped him stay sober throughout his life.
A source told the Daily Star: "Russell plans to celebrate with all the people who have helped him over the years."
"His guest list will include people at the recovery centre he attended in London, close friends, family, and Katy's parents Keith and Mary Hudson."
According to the report, Russell is still close with Katy's parents despite their very public divorce.
The source continued: "They were really good to Russell during his marriage to their daughter, even when things got messy towards the end.
"Keith still rings Russell every few weeks to check up on him."
We wonder what Katy Perry thinks about all of this?
And generous Russell Brand will also be fitting the bill for all his guests to make sure they can attend.

The source added: "He'll pay for everyone's travel to the bash, which he wants to hold at his L.A. home, to make sure everyone can make it."
"Russell is never scared of a challenge and is determined to pull it off. It's his way of saying thank you to everyone who helped him get where he is today."
