    Mollie King excited for Spice Girls performance, wants to join the group

    After pictures of the Spice Girls rehearsing for the Olympic closing ceremony were released yesterday, our excitement levels reached new heights.

    And now it seems that we aren't the only ones dusting off our Spice Girls 'Greatest Hits' album in preparation for their performance.

    One member of another girl group is just a little bit excited about seeing the fantastic five reunite this Sunday.

    Not content with being one fifth of The Saturdays, Mollie King tweeted about her desire to join the iconic girl band.

    The singer posted: "OMG sooo excited about this Spice Girls performance!!!! Even the rehearsal photos are exciting me!! #Wannabe- literally! ha! X"

    The Spice Girls were spotted rehearsing for their first performance in five years and from what we could see, it's going to be quite the spectacle.

    The girls last performed together in 2007 when they embarked on a sell out worldwide Greatest Hits tour.

    The group was previously reunited back in June for the launch of musical 'Viva Forever' based around the groups hits and penned by funny lady Jennifer Saunders.

    Victoria Beckham previously teased fans about the reunion by tweeting a photo of a bejewelled microphone, writing: "Look what I found! X vb"

    Other acts who will perform at the Olympic closing ceremony tomorrow include Jessie J, Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Take That.
