Following an ill fated visit to the hairdressers, Marina and the Diamonds has admitted to being left having to wear a wig to cover up a significant amount of hair loss.

The singer revealed today that she was forced to wear a wig for the last nine months thanks to a freak accident at a L.A hair salon.
She told The Sun: "It literally fell out…I went to this hairdresser in LA before a shoot, and she just f****d it up."
"She was blowdrying my hair and said, 'You've got a bit of breakage at the back'. I looked around and a lot had just snapped off at two inches. A week later I had it all cut really short."
No that's what we'd call having a seriously bad hair day.

However instead of braving the world with her newly, albeit unwanted, cropped 'do, Marina decided to purchase a wig to cover up the disaster.
She explained: "I bought a wig and painted the roots black and wore a ribbon over it, so it looked natural. And the ribbon became part of my look."
"I wore the wig for nine months. Nobody knew... it's only now that my hair is long enough to look natural. Wigs are fun, but I never felt beautiful in a wig."

The singer recently slammed her record label via Twitter after the video of her single 'How to be a Heartbreaker' had been pushed back.
The singer posted: "So, someone at my record label won't let me release the video bc I look ugly in it apparently + we need more $ / time to paint out ugly parts."
"The video will be out end of the week. If not, I am happy to leak the 'minger' version for my fans."
