Liam Payne has dampened the rumours he is dating Leona Lewis saying the pair have only ever been out for a drink and are NOT dating.

Speaking to The Sun, Liam said he wouldn't disrespect Danielle Peazer so soon after the split.

We did think a romance seemed unlikely, especially after we remembered quotes when Leona was asked whether she would date a One D boy, to which she replied:
"He's sweet, but they're, like, two."
Yeah, things like weddings looked unlikely at the point.

Liam also talked about the two years he was with Danielle and said he hopes that they can remain friends, saying what a 'great girl' she is.
"Danielle is great. I really hope we can remain friends. I bought her a car for he birthday, but she really isn't fussed by money or fame."
Despite One D being worth around £100m, Liam said that Danielle would never ask him to foot the bill, and always wanted to pay her way.
"She was talking about dyeing her hair blonde but said she couldn't afford it — which was mad. She wouldn't even ask me for the money for that!"
