However this one seems to tip the scale from unusual into outright ridiculous.
The eccentric singer was papped leaving the Park Hyatt Vendome Hotel, Paris, en route to her latest concert wearing the giant bright pink and blue number.
The huge dress (if you can call it that) wouldn't have been out of place as part of a primary school sewing project.
Gaga teamed the over sized outfit with neon blue platforms and a pair of bizarre sunglasses.
The unshapely dress is also not going to help the rumors that the star is currently pregnant.

Kelly Osbourne recently said that she thought Gaga could be with child after noticing that she had started wearing clothes that cover up her stomach.
If there was ever a dress to hide a baby bump then this would be it.

Lady Gaga received some good news this week after her perfume 'Fame' became the second fastest selling fragrance of all time.
The star took to Twitter to share the good news with her fans.
She wrote: "The reaction to FAME has been overwhelming...6 million bottles in 1 week makes it the 2nd fastest selling fragrance after Coco Chanel."
Gaga previously joked that the fragrance would smell of 'blood and semen'.
However, according to promotional material it actually smells of atropa belladonna, tiger orchid, incense, apricot and saffron.
Thank goodness for that.
