The Kate Middleton effect strikes again! K-Middy + buying a top = sell out in seconds

Kate Middleton's power to make one piece of clothing a must-have within minutes has reached new heights as yet another shop suffers a sell-out after the Duchess buys just one item.

Before the royal got her manicured mitts on this pretty piece, it was just an average top but after purchasing the top on Tuesday in the sales (go Kate!) it's now one of the hottest things in fashion.

The piece in question is a grey merino wool top with statement sleeves and a jewel heavy collar from designer label, Anonymous by Ross+Bute.

While the knitwear it a tad demure for team omg!, we can certainly appreciate the appropriateness for Kate Middleton!

And what more, it was a sale buy... was £169, now £84.50.

Just a day after it emerged the Duchess had made her purchase in Chelsea the jumper was sold out with style fans rushing to pick up their own version.

Now if only bagging a Prince for ourselves was so easy...

K-Mid should buy a top from Peacocks. Everyone will thne buy it and this will help Peacocks out of the recession

  A very good point you have made here Octavia. However, not everyone will buy it. Some of us still have minds of our own and and do not need to run out and purchase something because a well known person has it.

It prob looks better on kate as the picture isn't that appealing of the top, especially the fake embellishments when I am sure she has much prettier jewellry to show off! I think anyone just copying her look should make sure it suits their figures and budgets. It pays to be original in any case!

the jumper doesnt look that warm, you would have to wear loads more layers in this weather! I have amazing jumpers so I wouldnt even bother buying another! I think K-mid would be jealous of my jumpers, they are amazinly cool and some have pockets! and different coloured buttoons #$%$ #$%$!
