Jessie J has announced today that she will be grabbing a pair of clippers and shaving her head next year, all in the name of charity.

The singer revealed on Twitter that her impending haircut was in aid of next year's Comic Relief.
She wrote: "I am SO excited and honoured to be able to finally officialy announce I will be shaving my head LIVE for you ALL to watch in March 2013 for @rednoseday :D #letsraisesomemoney"
As word got around the Twittersphere, Jessie couldn't contain her excitement at the buzz (cut) she had caused.
She gushed: "Trending worldwide already!!! Yeaaah man!!!! Thank youuu!!! #JessieJheadshaveRND #JessieJdaresyouRND woooow!!"
Over the years Jessie has never been seen with the same haircut two days in a row so it will be interesting to see how she copes with no hair at all.

But it's not just Jessie who has been getting in on the sheering action.
Just this week both Lady Gaga and Avril Lavigne debuted their new shaved do's.
Gaga shaved the back of her head in honour of her close friend Terry Richardon's late Mother while Avril seemingly decided to shave the side of her head on a whim.

Jessie J was confirmed to return as a mentor on the second series of 'The Voice' last month and is currently working on her follow up album to debut 'Who you Are'.
