We've had a lesson in how to dress for a summer soiree thanks to Holly Valance and Mischa Barton.

Plenty of stars headed to the annual Serpentine Gallery party in London last night, but Holly Valance and Mischa Barton were our two style stand-outs from the event.
Holly Valance embraced the metallic trend in a gold sequinned dress embellished with silver stars.

The 29-year-old Australian star kept her accessories simple, wearing a thin black belt, nude peep-toe heels and a gold sequin clutch.
She was joined by fiancé Nick Candy who was dapper as ever in a suit with his shirt open at the neck.

Mischa Barton went floaty but looked just as gorgeous in her floor-length gown.

Mischa Barton wore her hair in a loose up do and brought a pop of colour with her red lipstick.
She wrote on Twitter ahead of the party: "On my way to #serpentine with @Rachelbakewell ! So excited...I love being in the park and particularly visit the serpentine frequently."

Nancy Dell'Olio was the other guest who really caught our eye.
She channelled Cleopatra in a silver head piece and full-on make-up.
Holly Valance's Strictly Come Dancing co-contestant Nancy wore a white halterneck frock and loved posing for the photographers.
