She emerged on stage singing her hit E.T clad in a green costume carried on by a mini army of dancers.
Her vocals were set to the backdrop of silver robots, laser beams and stunning visuals.
Katy Perry morphed from green martian into a futuristic female wearing a metallic cat suit by Abigail Greydanus.
She then started her next song, Part Of Me from inside a Perspex box suspending herself at times with a short bungee rope.
The routine revved up a notch with smoke and fire shooting up as she commanded attention with her energised performance.
At the start of the evening, it was a totally different story, Katy was the epitome of elegance in a blue lace gown by Elie Saab.
Later, she appeared more relaxed as she posed for pics with pal Rihanna.
