The Golden Globes aren't just about dazzling dresses or glittering gongs it predicts how we'll be wearing our hair this year.
And judging by the red carpet last night, we'll be sporting loose, messy 'dos teased into low sung chignons a la Kate Winslet and sleek mid-crown buns just like Angelina Jolie.

Make waves with a style just like Kate Winslet and Charlize Theron! Their hair has been teased into tousled waves (you can achieve this by scrunch drying hair, or using rollers and then brushing the curl out into a wave.)
Once dry move hair into a side parting leaving some hair to frame your face. Pull the rest of your hair to the nape of your neck, either twist into a bun and secure with pins or flip the hair over itself to form a roll and pin into. Don't forget to gently pull some strands out to create texture and a rough edge.
Angelina Jolie and Claire Danes dabbled with sleek up dos. To achieve the mum of six's mane, work your hair (plus serum) into a pony tail. Turn your tresses into a knot that looks nice (get creative and play with figure of eight styles, loop hair under itself and go for it) then pin into place.
For a less fussy look that lets your dress do the talking just like Claire's, loosely tie your hair into a pony tail and tease a few strands out to create a loose look. Spin into a bun and off you go.
You can always experiment with these looks and keep your fringe straight and the rest messy a la Emma Stone or create waves at the front and have a simple bun at the back Dianna Agron style.
All you need now is that designer dress and hot celebrity boyfriend…
