The singer was talking to US radio station Power 106 radio when he was asked if he and his ex girlfriend Rihanna were an item again.
He replied: "No. And that's just quick, a quick answer.
"I'm not uncomfortable with talking about this stuff.
"Me and her have history. And me and her are always going to definitely be the best of friends and we're working on our friendship now."

Recently however, the two have been spotted together more frequently, leading to a backlash from the 'Umbrella' star's fans.
He said: "As far as our personal life, I think people just got to give it a chance — or not even give it a chance, shut the hell up is basically what it is.
"I'm not trying to rush into anything, put any rings on anybody's finger or lie to anybody. I just rather be completely honest, express my feelings."
Rihanna recently unveiled a duet with the Chris called 'Nobodies Business'.
Describing the song Rihanna explained: "'Nobody's Business' is basically the way I look at everything regarding my personal life."
