    Beyonce opens up about her post-baby weight loss and diet, admits she's not 'naturally thin' and reveals how she got back into shape

    Beyonce has opened up about her post-baby weight loss diet secrets.

    Appearing on the cover of Shape magazine, Beyonce admits she's not a "naturally thin" woman and says she worked very hard to get her body back.

    She revealed: "I'm not a person that is naturally very thin. I am a person that has to work at keeping my body in shape.

    "Not everyone is supposed to be the same. Be healthy and take care of yourself, but be happy with the beautiful things that make you, you."

    The 31-year-old gained a whopping 57lbs during her pregnancy and had just three months to lose the weight before her first post-pregnancy show.

    She said: "I didn't have a lot of time to lose the weight because I scheduled a show three months after I gave birth, which I would never do again."

    Beyonce credits her weight loss to dieting and dance, but admits that reducing her food intake was what made the biggest difference.

    She told the mag: "I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa.

    "I always have breakfast, say, scrambled egg whites, a vegetable smoothie, or whole-grain cereal with low-fat milk.

    "For lunch and dinner, I eat a lot of fish and vegetables. And throughout the day, I try to stay hydrated."

    And while she may have stuck strictly to her high-protein menu during the week, she always gives herself a 'cheat day' on Sunday.

    She added: "I always treat myself to one meal on Sundays when I can have whatever I want. Usually it’s pizza, which is my favorite indulgence."

    Bey looks flawless in the cover shoot for the US magazine, showing off her flat tummy in a colour-block bikini before striking a few poses in floral high-waist pants a cropped top.
