Poor Eddie Redmayne missed out on his moment at the BAFTAs 2013 after he spent the evening throwing up backstage.
The Les Miserables actor was supposed to present the award for Best Original Screenplay but couldn't make it on stage because he was so ill.
American actress Sally Field, who he was due to present with, told the crowd at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden: "Eddie is backstage puking his guts out. If I turn grey, we’ll know what it is."
With it seeming a bit early for him to have overdone it on the alcohol, Les Mis co-star Anne Hathaway later cleared things up, revealing that Eddie had eaten something funny.
On picking up her award for Best Supporting Actress she said: "And Eddie feel better, I would be holding your hair back, but [pointed at her BAFTA]… food poisoning is just the worst."
Earlier 31-year-old Eddie walked the red carpet but didn't do press interviews due to feeling a little bit icky.
In other BAFTA-related news, Jennifer Lawrence fell victim to the London weather, when her dress hem was soaked by the rain and she was forced to cover her pretty Dior dress in a black blazer.
Meanwhile Irish TV presenter Laura Whitmore sexed up the red carpet in a cut-out gown with a dose of sideboob.
And Caroline Flack covered herself in a demure black dress - leading the brigade of ladies who also opted for black on the red carpet.
