Alex Reid has announced that he has given up fighting for Chantelle Houghton and finally accepted it's over, and it seems like things have ended pretty badly.

Despite Chantelle only recently giving birth to their daughter Dolly, Alex has confirmed that it's officially over and predictably, things sound messy.
Speaking to Now! magazine, Alex says how Chantelle will only let him see his daughter Dolly when she is there and that his parents have only seen there granddaughter twice in 13 weeks.

Alex says: "She doesn't trust me with Dolly because she does pretty much everything for her. But I'm more than capable of caring for her."
"My parents have only seen her twice in 13 weeks. That kills them. I take as many pictures as I can. It's at the point now where they need to see her. It's hurting them."

Alex went on to say that he and Chantelle have different views when it comes to parenting, saying: "Me and Chantelle look at the world differently. I'm from a strong family unit. I'm open minded, liberal and cultured."
And he even took a swipe at her weight, saying: "She's a little bit overweight at the moment".
However, despite his new single status, Alex doesn't consider himself on the market although, he insists: "even though I get loads of offers".
But rumours are still rife that in fact, another woman was involved in the split: Alex's alter-ego Roxanne!
However, Alex insists that Roxanne had no part to play: "I had fun with Roxanne, but she's in the past, it was never an issue with Chantelle because it was never a part of our relationship."
We guess now it's over to Chantelle for her side of the story...
Luckily, she has already taken to Twitter saying: "Suing NOW MAGAZINE again this week for printing what they already know are lies. Hence the legal letter they got last week."
Guessing she's not too happy then, eh?!
