    The couple stepped out for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner last night in LA, and by the looks of Katy's left hand - they were probably celebrating more than just V Day.

    The 28-year-old has been sporting the ruby-and-diamond ring for several days, sparking rumours that they could be set to tie the knot.

    The pair even met up with Katy's parents following the Grammys on Sunday night, with John taking everyone out for a posh dinner.

    Katy looked stunning last night, dressing up for her big date in a sheer cream and red floral vintage dress paired with black block heels and a champagne sash around her waist.

    She struggled to hide her massive grin as she left Vicenti restaurant, clutching John's hand and gripping her Valentine's present in the other.

    Katy and John have been on several dates this week, stepping out for sushi yesterday following Katy's visits from her parents.

    And according to a snitch, they're happier than ever, adding: "Katy has never been happier. She’s in a really good place with John.

    "Katy’s parents also really like John. They prefer him over Russell. They thought Russell was too temperamental."
