Exclusive: Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis talk getting naked together

Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis spend a lot of time in 'Friends With Benefits' naked together (lucky girl!).

Here, in our EXCLUSIVE interview with the Hollywood stars, they tell us what it was like to be clothes-less together - as well as their relationship on set in general.

Have a nosy and find out how you could win a copy of the DVD (our today!) by scrolling down...

How was it getting naked together? Comfortable, uncomfortable?
Mila: How's it getting naked for you? Comfortable? Uncomfortable?

Did you get more comfortable over time?
Mila: Relatively speaking. Two weeks in, you become a little less concerned, but you're still uncomfortable. There are a lot of people seeing parts of you that you don't necessarily want seen.
Justin: I just became a frame for two weeks to make sure Mila wasn't exposed in a way that was beyond her contract.
Mila: His arms had to be positioned certain ways. [Laughs]
Justin: After a couple of hours, your arm starts shaking. I will say, briefly, that it makes it less comfortable when the [goal of] actual bedrooms scenes is making them awkward and making them funny. We were just going for laughs. You're looking at two people who really put their bodies on the line for comedy.
    Mila: We really did.
Justin: It just became funny and that takes all the weird air out of the room.
Mila:: A serious lovemaking scene? That's uncomfortable. Here, we're chewing gum and blowing bubbles in someone's face.
Justin: When they yelled cut, if the crew was laughing, you're like, "Okay, we're doing our job." I was particularly grossed out when I found out I was going to have to be in bed with Mila, but I sucked it up and did my job.
    Mila: You're like, "Ew, gross!"
Justin: "Gr-oss" with two syllables. That's how you say it.

Friends With Benefits is out on DVD today!

Justin, were you nervous taking on your first big leading role?
Justin: When you get into a project, you have tunnel vision about what you're doing. I never thought about being the lead of the film. I was thinking about playing a character. I guess if I were to think about it, I found solace in the fact that this is a true two-hander. So much of what is good about our performances happens because of the collective performance between the two of us - the quick-witted banter and the dialogue between us. I think we're getting a lot of comments about our chemistry, but it really was developed through great writing as well. We're just trying to make a comedy so we wanted the timing to be snappy and fun.

Did you have a rehearsal period to get that snappy dialogue down?
    Mila: Yeah.
Justin: We had an unusually longer-than-usual rehearsal period. It's kind of great in all respects because, when we both committed to the movie, we weren't going to start shooting until the heart of the summer. So, we had a good two months during spring of last year to…
    Mila:…do rewrites.
Justin: Get together and workshop [the script].
Mila: Flesh the characters out and what we wanted them to be and what voices we wanted to give to each character. I would say we both got very lucky in that aspect.

A lot of the humor in this movie depends on pent-up frustration from seeing bad romantic comedies. Do you ever get a script for a romcom and say, "Really? I'm going to the airport to stop them at the gate, again…"?
Mila: You have no idea. I'm sure one of them was called, "I'm Going to the Airport to Stop Them at the Gate."
Justin: It's called "B42." It's all about the gate. No, it's called "B30." It's like a guy turning thirty and he saves the girl at the gate B30 and it's like, "Oh my God, serendipity." No, those scripts don't actually make it to the gate. They get headed off at the pass. We never looked at this as a romantic comedy. You get to fall in love with the characters and you see them falling in love before they actually realize it. So, in that sense, I guess it is a romantic comedy but I looked at it more as a generational comedy about romance. I think we were kind of hoping to speak from our perspective. We injected a lot of our points of view and our humor into these characters. I think that made a difference. When I watch this movie, I feel that's what our generation has to say about what we grew up with.
    Mila: The ideals of life.
Justin: We had a lot of admiration for the way that John Hughes' films always had the ability to be self-effacing about what he and his generation are and continue to be. That's what we were trying to do with this comedy. When I watch it back, I'm like, "That speaks to me." I think that we have grown up with the falsification of the idea of romance through ridiculous romantic comedies.

"Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis spend a lot of time in 'Friends With Benefits' naked together..." The past tense is "spent", seriously does anyone at Yahoo ever proof read their work?

Haha. They also claim it is "our" (being Yahoo UK and Ireland/OMG) Exclusive interview yet the questions are written in American English (Humor etc...) Methinks they are telling porkies.

saying "spend" does actually make sense in that situation. "Spent" makes sense as well but it sounds better saying "spend". Its kind of like a sub-heading.
