After years of are-they-aren't-they rumours, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are engaged with Brad's rep, Cynthia Pett-Dante confirming the news.
She said: "It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There's no date set at this time."
The statement comes after a jeweller confirmed he has made an engagement ring for Brad Pitt.
*screams a little and buys a hat*
A representative for jeweller Robert Procop told The Hollywood Reporter: "I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt."
Angelina Jolie was reportedly seen out wearing the ring on her engagement finger at a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries two nights ago.
The 36-year-old star was said to be there with Brad and their son Pax.
The jeweller added to The Hollywood Reporter: "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand.
"Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality."
So far reps for the American couple have failed to confirm or deny the reports there is a wedding on the way.
The pair, who have six kids together, have been together for seven years.
Last summer US Weekly reported that the A-list pair were planning a lavish ceremony to make their relationship official.
