Ever since Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy revealed they'd welcomed their son last weekend, we've been waiting with bated breath to find out what they'd called him, and last night Matt finally took to Twitter to share the name: Bingham 'Bing' Hawn Bellamy.
The Muse musician confirmed a couple of details we already knew, like date (July 9) and weight (7lbs 12oz), but added some extras in addition to the name, like the length of labour (4.5 hours of "intense pushing"). Matt called Kate a "warrior" and said both she and baby Bing are "strong and healthy."
He also returned to Twitter to explain their thinking behind the names: Bingham is Matt's mum's maiden name, and Kurt Russell's dad was called Bing. As Matt tweeted: "Family connections all round!" He didn't need to explain where Hawn came from, with Kate's mum Goldie obviously the inspiration there.
Victoria and David Beckham caused waves at the beginning of the week by naming their daughter Harper Seven, and we have a feeling there'll be a lot of opinions on Kate and Matt's son's name too. What do you think of their choice?
