A friend of the couple has said: "Adele and Simon Konecki are ecstatic at their new arrival".
"She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together."
Adele announced her pregnancy earlier this year in June via a blog on her official website.

She wrote: "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together."
"I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx"
Adele and Simon had only been dating seven months when she revealed the news.

Ever the hard worker, Adele recently unveiled 'Skyfall', the official theme to the latest James Bond film, just one week before she gave birth.
The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer has kept out of the public eye for the majority of her pregnancy, not even revealing the due date.
The name of the child is still not known.
In May, Adele made an unusual appearance on Twitter to deny that Simon had proposed to her on her 24th birthday.
She wrote: "I'm not engaged blah blah."
A huge congratulations to Adele and Simon.
We expect to hear a very cheerful third album.
