Friends and fans of Amy Winehouse have been paying tribute to the 27-year-old singer after she was found dead at her home on Saturday afternoon.
Mark Ronson tweeted: "She was my musical soulmate & like a sister to me. This is one of the saddest days of my life."
Kelly Osbourne tweeted: "I can't even breathe right my now I'm crying so hard I just lost 1 of my best friends. I love you forever Amy & will never forget the real you!"
Russell Brand took to his website to write about his friendship with Amy, describing the moment he first met the "sweet and peculiar but most of all vulnerable" girl, and how he later realised what an "incredible talent" she had. Read Russell's tribute in full.
Lady Gaga tweeted: "Amy changed pop music forever, I remember knowing there was hope, and feeling not alone because of her. She lived jazz, she lived the blues."
Amy's family released a statement saying: "Our family has been left bereft by the loss of Amy, a wonderful daughter, sister, niece. She leaves a gaping hole in our lives. We are coming together to remember her and we would appreciate some privacy and space at this terrible time."
Police are due to set a date for the post-mortem examination. At this stage there is no official confirmation on the cause of death.
