You may not have heard of Sarah Hackett just yet but like Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen before her, Sarah is set to become the latest Canadian pop sensation.

The 16-year-old singer was signed two years ago by label Drew Records, the brains behind the Backstreet Boys and High School Musical.
Talking exclusively to omg! today Sarah told that she is thankful to singers such as Justin Bieber for paving the way for Canadian's to become credible artists.
She told us: "Justin came out a few years ago with his music and has had a great following then Carly Rae came out with 'Call me Maybe' and was an internet sensation."
"It's really awesome that Canadian's are putting themselves out there as artists. I really feel like they are very inspirational and very powerful artists."

She may be a fan of her fellow Canadian singers, but like most 16 year-old girls, Sarah is also a supporter the mighty One Direction.
What a surprise.
She said: "I think they're [One Direction] really talented. I think it's awesome that there is a new boy group out. Their songs are very catchy and the girls just love them."
"I think that each of them bring something to the group, I think what's really cool about them is that every girl gets something out of it."

With nearly 300,000 followers on Twitter and over million hits on Youtube, Sarah looks to be on the road to success.
So what can we expect from her music?
She explained: "I feel that my music is very much like Demi Lovato's first album 'Don't Forget'. My album that I'm working on is very pop/rock."
"I like to have a lot of live instruments recorded. I want to have that live sound because it makes my music more real."
