All warmed up by the rocking indie Bad 'Walk the Moon' (who are now firmly on our Ones-To-Obsess over radar) we were ready for Pink.
Pink made us scream our hearts out at the Roundhouse
And, there she was, back on stage at the Roundhouse for the iTunes Festival after two years absence.
Her sixth studio album 'The Truth About Love' was released yesterday and she debuted several tracks from the record in front of the screaming crowd. Most of the songs were sung live for the FIRST time, so we were treated to a real pinksclusives.
Here's our version of the night in omg! moments…
The moment we got goosebumps
5,4,3,2,1…Let's get this party started. Seeing Pink back on stage in such an intimate venue was just overwhelming and gave us goosebumps all over.
The moment we laughed
The set list was well mixed with brand new tracks she road-tested to the audience and good old Pink classics as 'U and Ur hand', 'Dear Mr President' or 'Who Knew'.
Well prepared for the new tracks she managed to forget the lyrics of her chart-topping old hits. LOLZ. We definitely laughed our socks off when she screwed up 'Leave me alone' not knowing the words and joking "we're just doing a little sound check here". Pink found this as amusing as we did tweeting later: "thanku to all the uk fans that came out 2 see the show tonight, watched me butcher the lyrics of many songs and have a good laugh doing it x"
The moment we screamed our hearts out
"So what, I'm still a rock star". The mum-of-one is definitely STILL a rock star. With her hit single from her latest album 'Funhouse' she made us scream until we could scream no more. We had no voice the next day but screaming our hearts out was totally worth it.
The moment Pink blew us away
The megastar performed a trio of acoustic songs - 'Family Portrait', 'Who Knew' and 'Dear Mr President' - which totally blew us away. 'Who Knew' was the highlight of the acoustic interlude, reminding us of her amazingly strong voice. "Three years from now" we wanna see Pink hitting the stage again and again and again.
