The radio DJ exclusively told us that the power pop pair would be his ideal guests.

Nick told us: "I really want Jay-Z and Beyonce but I don't want them to come in. I want them to say 'let's do the show from our house' like when Oprah gets invited around to the Kardashians- I want to be radio Oprah!"

Nick, who is set to take over Chris Moyles' breakfast slot next week, told us that when he first found out that he had landed arguably the most sought after gig in broadcast, he couldn't quite believe it was happening.

He explained: "It's something that I've wanted for so long so it was quite insane to hear that it was actually going to happen."

"I think I felt instantly quite shocked, then stunned, then just excited. I don't think I've ever had something ever happen to be as exciting. I felt really elated, happy and emotional."

Nick has been known to enjoy his nights out alongside his celebrity pals, so how will he cope with the early starts?

Nick told us: "I think it's going to be fine, I don't actually go out that much, I just think I get caught going out more. I work every day and every night so I probably only go out once or twice a week."

"I'm quite looking forward to having the evenings free to hang out with friends, go to gigs and see films."

With the premiere of Nick's show just around the corner, he admitted that he was aware of who his first celebrity guest would be but remained tight lipped over their identity.

He said: "We do know [who they are] and they're good, but I can't tell you who they are."

"They're famous and they're pop stars. They are also ones that I actually like."

We for one can't wait to find out who it is.
