Lou, a widower from Birmingham, is said to have opened his X Factor audition by telling Tulisa Contostavlos he was "available".
Tulisa said Lou's performance "pulled at my heart strings" but Mel B said: "I wanted to fall asleep". Cue angry reaction from X Factor crowd. Eek.
Mel B did show her softer side, however, when she comforted a woman who cried following her audition.
Louis Walsh called him "Sir Gary" all day and the audience saluted Gary Barlow when 'Rule Britannia' was played, with some shouting: "Get Gary knighted".
