It looks like Madonna might have made a dig at Lady Gaga by singing 'Born This Way'.

Madonna is in Israel rehearsing for her MDNA tour and was captured on video singing her classic track 'Express Yourself' and then launching into Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' mid-song.
She then brought 'Express Yourself' back in before switching to 'She's Not Me' from Hard Candy.

The song choice has got plenty of tongues wagging that Madonna is having a pop at Lady Gaga, since 'Born This Way' has often been compared to 'Express Yourself'.
Madonna herself has spoken about the similarities, telling The Daily Beast: "I thought, 'What a wonderful way to redo my song'. I mean, I recognised the chord changes. I thought it was... interesting."

Her Madgesty also told Cynthia McFadden on 20/20: "When I heard it on the radio, I said 'that sounds very familiar.' It feels reductive."
Lady Gaga replied to the comparison talk by telling NME: "If you put the songs next to each other, side by side, the only similarities are the chord progression.

"It's the same one that's been in disco music for the last 50 years. Just because I'm the first f****** artist in 25 years to think of putting it on Top 40 radio, it doesn't mean I'm a plagiarist, it means I'm f****** smart. Sorry."
So whether Madonna was indeed having a dig or just paying homage to Lady Gaga, she's certainly got us all talking. Clever move, Madge.
