BGT’s Jonathan and Charlotte: We hope Gary Barlow likes our version

This year's 'Britain's Got Talent' runners up Jonathan and Charlotte have said that they hope Gary Barlow will enjoy their version of 'Rule the World'.

Jonathan and Charlotte hope to make classical music more accessible

The duo revealed exclusively told omg! last week that although Gary Barlow hasn't yet heard their reworking of Take That's hit 'Rule the World' they are hoping the X Factor judge will enjoy it.

Jonathan admitted: "Hopefully he will like it; I've got all my fingers crossed and toes."

The classical singing duo also spoke of their hope that new album 'Together' will show that it is possible to enjoy classical music.

Charlotte told us: "On the new album we've gone for the classical cross over genre, we've some real classics on there like 'Ava Maria' and 'Canto Della Terra ' and then you've got more modern things like 'Rule the World'."

"We hope we can reach out to as many people as possible and show them that you can enjoy classical music."

Earlier this year, Jonathan and Charlotte wowed the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel and public alike, finishing second to dancing dog act Ashleigh and Pudsey.

The duo aren't in the least bit bothered about coming second to a dancing dog

The two are adamant however that they aren't in the slightest bit bothered that they were beaten to the title by a dancing dog.

Jonathan explained: "A lot of people seem to think that it's a bad thing, we don't view it as a bad thing at all."

"Britain's got Talent is a variety show so in all fairness a variety act should win. And two, we came second out of tens of thousands of people, that's just mental, actually crazy."

Charlotte added: "She [Ashleigh] won and is getting to do all these amazing things and we came second and we're getting to do all these amazing things too so we got exactly what we wanted out of it."

And as for the future, Jonathan hinted that the two may be going to America with their album.

Jonathan teased: "There are plans for us stateside. Nothing has been clarified yet but things are happening. Just a little teaser for you there."

Jonathan and Charlotte's debut album is available to buy now.
