Jake Bugg launched into a tirade of abuse against One Direction in a recent interview.

The 18-year-old BRIT nominated singer/songwriter told Shortlist magazine that he couldn’t believe that people compare One Direction to The Beatles.
He said: "People [call them the new Beatles] because they broke America, but that don't mean a thing. I mean, [One Direction] must know that they're terrible.
"They must know ... calling them the new rock stars is a ridiculous statement. And people should stop making it."
And he didn’t stop there; Jake then bemoaned the group for not writing their own material, claiming that they most likely laugh about how little effort they put into their music.
"Who the f**k is saying [they're the closest thing to rock stars we have these days]?
“Oh, I'm pretty sure they have a good laugh. But it's easy to, isn't it? When you don't have to write any songs.”
Don’t hold back Jake, say what you really think.

Now One Direction are not the first X Factor act that Jake has laid into, and they probably won’t be the last.
The singer’s debut album hit the top spot last October, preventing Leona Lewis from scoring a hat trick of number one LPs.
When asked about how it felt to win the chart battle, Jake simply branded Leona’s music as ‘s**t’.
He told NME: "I guess it proves my point – people still want to hear guitar music. It's my job to keep that X Factor sh*t off the top of the charts."
